Two years ago wellD decided to migrate our infrastructure from VM/SVN/Jenkins to GitLab (on K8S infrastructure). This paradigm shift has had a butterfly (no pun intended) effect on our work methodology:
- we have adopted a branching strategy
- we had to design a version release strategy
- develop the CI/CD scripts for each project
- we had to improve our pipeline to give fast feedback to develop team

Our DevOps travel has been started two years ago, but as of today it's still not finished: the way we approach the aforementioned problems is continuously evolving and improving. In this talk we will summarise the most interesting challenges we faced, explain how we are solving them and how the GitLab Auto DevOps CI scripts have inspired us.
